Financial Controller

The Financial Controller will be responsible for overseeing and managing all financial activities of the company, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in financial operations. The role encompasses a wide range of responsibilities including but not limited to invoicing, accounting, taxation, payroll, procurement, auditing, and financial analysis.

Key Responsibilities: 

Strategic Financial Management: 
  • Lead the strategic financial planning process, integrating comprehensive budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning to support business growth and sustainability. 
  • Ensure the timely and accurate preparation of financial statements, reports, and in-depth financial analysis to inform strategic decision-making. 
  • Develop and implement robust accounting policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and alignment with industry best practices to enhance financial governance. 
  • Monitor and manage cash flow, optimize working capital, and drive financial performance improvements to support organizational objectives and competitive positioning. 
  • Strategic Audit and Financial Reporting Lead the coordination of external audits, ensuring the provision of comprehensive support and documentation to enhance audit efficiency and accuracy. 
  • Strategically manage the timely closure of books and preparation of balance sheets and financial reports, aligning these processes with organizational goals and regulatory requirements to provide actionable insights for strategic planning and performance evaluation.
Integrated Financial Operations and Procurement Management: 
  • Oversee the invoicing process to ensure accuracy and timeliness, maintaining up-to-date accounting records and reconciling financial discrepancies. 
  • Review and approve accounts payable and receivable transactions to ensure financial integrity. 
  • Develop and implement procurement strategies that optimize cost savings and efficiency, coordinating with departments to identify needs and ensure the timely delivery of goods and services. 
Comprehensive Compliance and Financial Operations Management: 
  • Ensure full compliance with all tax regulations, including GST, TDS, and other statutory requirements, coordinating with external tax advisors and authorities for timely tax filings and assessments. 
  • Conduct regular internal audits to ensure adherence to financial regulations and company policies, maintaining robust internal controls. 
  • Strategically evaluate and recommend vendors and banking partners, managing these relationships to negotiate favorable terms and conditions.
  • Oversee the entire payroll process, including accurate salary calculations, deductions, and tax withholdings, ensuring compliance and operational efficiency.


Desired Skills:
  • Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) with minimum 10 years experience 
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or equivalent certification preferred. 
  • Proven experience min 5 years in a similar role, preferably in the IT Industry. Strong knowledge of accounting principles, taxation, and financial regulations. 
  • Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle). Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. 
  • Effective communication and interpersonal abilities. 
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. 
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
